Gorgeous Works of Art

I'm so excited and extremely proud to introduce you to my father's work of art!  His name is Timothy Dwight Taylor and he has created some beautiful landscapes and architectural artwork.

So, if you could do me a huge favor!!  I think he needs to open an Etsy shop and share these with the world.  He would also like to print these up into greeting cards.  What do YOU think?  We would love your feedback.  Let me know what you think of Daddy's work and if something like Etsy would be a good idea!

Lovely Fall

Just a few pics to get us in the mood for some Fall loveliness!!  Here in Texas it is still 98 degrees.  So, its pretty hard to think about pumpkins and scarecrows.  I might decorate the house next week.  Looking at all these inspiring pictures really helps!

Oversized Light Fixtures....Yes, Please!

I have fallen in love with over sized light fixtures lately!  I've been on the hunt for one for our living room.  Right now, we have a dinky ceiling fan.  With the vaulted ceiling, the ceiling fan tends to get lost and when you turn it on, you barely feel anything because it is so high.  So, off to Pinterest I went.  I have found such inspiring photos I had to share.

Here's a pic of the living room.  It needs some drama hanging from the ceiling!

Don't ya think?

I'm a sucker for crystal chandeliers.  Talk about drama!

Look at that wallpaper on the fireplace place wall!  Gorgeous!

This one is very simple, but makes a statement.  Dear Lillie blog is the best!

Ballard's Design has a good selection at reasonable prices.

Sarah Richardson always gets it right.  I love this light fixture.

But, I think this one has to be my favorite.  Its grand and has little whimsy thrown in.

This, is what I'm after!  Wish me luck!

Blessings to all,

Wash Rooms

Oh laundry rooms, how I love thee, let me count the ways!!
I have a small love affair with laundry/mud rooms.  You see, my pitiful excuse of a
laundry/mud room is pretty much non existent.  I dream of one day having a place for my
kiddos to hang their back packs and bags.  A place for purses and coats.  A place, when you
take the clean clothes out of the dryer,  you don't get whacked with the door to the garage by
your husband!

Yes, these are all dreams.  They might come true.  But, for now, I can browse all of these
lovely pictures of wash rooms.

I hope you are all doing well and I hope to be back more now that school is
about to be in full swing with the kiddos!

Blessings,

Blue is the Theme

So, I'm really loving blue right now!  Especially these blues.  I've had these pics
in my bucket for a long time and had to share them.  These rooms are the ultimate!
Does that mean I'm going to change every room in my house to blue?  No way!
My man would absolutely have me comitted!  However, I might could throw in
some unexpected touches of blue here and there.  Like, in the kitchen, I could find
a light blue pitcher.  You know, easy things like that.
Hope you enjoy these pics!

I would love to have a mudroom like this one.  Look at that dutch door?  Divine!

I know there are Christmas trees in this pictures, but I still love this room.
The quilt on the ceiling, the rug, everything!
