Holiday Historic Home Tour

I love to tour historic homes, especially at Christmas time!  My town host a fabulous one and I had to share some of the beautiful homes with you and their decorating talents.  I warn you now, there are a lot of pictures.

This house is one of my favorites!

Look at this stove!  I'm in heaven!

This kitchen, was really to die for.

I'm loving this tile flooring!

Next home, had such a homey feel, I wanted to sit back and relax.  I love this painting over the mantle.

This round table is fabulous!

The moose is perfect

I fell in love with every single one of these homes and I dream of owning one!
Only I think I want a new one that looks old.  Hope you're having a fabulous week!

Blessings,

Twas the Night

Are you ready!!!?  We have excited children running around here!  My 12 year old I know will come and check several times tonight to see what Santa has brought.  My 10 year old however, will be out like a light.  Hope you all have a good nights rest and have visions of sugar plums dancing in your head.  Whatever that means!

Sarah's Christmas Farmhouse

If you haven't heard of Sarah's House, then you are missing a true gem!  She has her own show over at HGTV and new episodes are about to start up in January.  So don't miss her!  My favorite house that she has done, is her farmhouse.  I loved every inch of this house!  If you watch the show, she  adds a Canadian flair to the word house, and we always say "hoose" every time she says it!

Her farmhouse was featured in Canadian House and HomeIf you click on the link, there are other pics to make you drop your jaw at!

Canadian House and Home - Sarah Richardson

Here are some pics of the rest of the farmhouse.

I love the color combination in this room.  Those euro pillows are to die for!

Wouldn't you like to have a mudroom like this?  Very inspiring!

That isn't wallpaper you are looking at.  It is fabric!  When I was watching the show, I did not like this fabric, at all, until she put the whole room together.  Then I stepped back and said "Oh my goodness!  It is gorgeous!"  It is so unique and quirky.  I love stepping out on a limb and she definitely accomplished that!

Love those ceilings!  So, set those DVR's for Sarah's House on HGTV.  Go ahead and tape the old ones too.  The farmhouse may be on!

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

This is our Christmas card.  Melissa at MJ Corder Designs helped me and my sister out this year.  You have to check out Megan's card.  It is so funky and matches her style to a t!
I wanted to wish everyone in blogland a blessed Christmas and thank you for making my entrance into blogging exciting and fun!  I have loved every minute of getting to know so many new friends.  May God bless you all and have a very peaceful New Year!

Thanks Ms. Paula

I've not been very happy with the way the window looks in the kitchen for the holidays.  Are you weird like me and look at something you've decorated and think "It just needs something else.  It doesn't look right!" ?  That's how I felt about this silly window.  But, I said to myself there are more important things to worry about than a window!  But, I was at Michael's the other day and found the cutest banner from Paula Deen for $1.99!!!  I have  a strict rule, if it's under $10 and I love it, go for it!  What?  Don't you have that rule?

Isn't it the cutest thing ever!!!?  O.k, maybe not EVER, but pretty darn cute!

I love the "Y'all" thrown in for us southern folk!

I had a few bottle brush trees leftover and dotted those around.  I found this sweet hobnail milk glass cup  for .50 at an antique mall and filled it with peppermint candy sticks.  Super simple and super cheap!

Sadly enough, it doesn't take much to make me happy!  Wait a minute, that's a good thing!  Hope everyone has a blessed day and I am off to another school Christmas partay!!!
