to put different colors.

Here is the option for natural.  So pretty and clean looking.

Here is the option for the natural smokey look.  I love this look!

New Lip Color

I love Loreal's lip colors!  They are inexpensive, so I can have
all kinds of colors!!!  Here is a new one I found.  I got so many emails
asking what this color was and I'm so glad you like it too!
It's called Caramel Latte from Loreal with my every faithful

Let's Talk Hair!!

Remember how I told you I am a lipstick junkie?  Well, I'm also a hair product junkie!!!
I can't seem to help myself.  I love a good hair product.  And boy do I have some good
ones to share with you!  I have thick, course, slightly curly and frizzy hair.  It can definitely
be unruly at times and hard to tame.  Especially when I want it to go straight.  So, over
the years I've had to figure which products work the best on me and what doesn't.  I know, so does
everyone else.  But, what I've learned in Cosmetology school and talking to tons of people
about their hair, is that they start to give up on the hunt of a product that can actually change
the entire look and feel of their hair.  I say, don't give up! Don't ever give up!
Here are just a few that I love, that just might help you

I adore the Pureology hair line!  EVERYTHING!!  My favorite is the
Super Smooth shampoo.  All their products are for color treated hair and have
zero sulfate in them.  Sulfate is a detergent that is loaded with salt and makes
the shampoo lather like crazy.  It also can fade your color quicker!  Gasp!!
Did you know that you were washing that salon color right out of your hair?!
Trust me!  Use zero sulfate!

The Super Smooth conditioner is a must

About once a month I use Pureology's clarifying shampoo.  If you get product build up, problems with
hard water or chemically treat your hair, this shampoo works wonders to strip off all the
nasty stuff and leave your color perfectly in place.

I recently purchased this at a hair show and have fallen in love!  This Hydracure is a masque
for your hair.  If your hair is thirsty for moisture, this does the trick.  Your hair will feel like
silk after this!  Love it!

When I blow dry my hair straight, this is the only product I put on my hair.  I apply
about a dime size when my hair is wet, then blow dry.  After it is dry, I apply another
dime size to dry hair.  This product is amazing to tame frizz.  I have fought frizz all my
life and this stuff is awesome!

When I wear my hair curly, I love Pureology's Real Curl.  It doesn't leave my
hair feeling crunchy and sticky at all.  Remember how we wore it in the 80's?
The crunchier the better right?  This gives a very natural soft curl that I love.

I've recently discovered the Deva Curl line.  It also works wonders on curly frizzy hair. It
actually gave me a fuller curl, not just a wavy one.

This spray helps with frizz as well.  I just bought a sample of the shampoo and conditioner, so
I'll let you know what I think.

When I want a lot of volume at the crown, I love Pureology's Root lift.  Actually,
any root lift will do.  It really does amp your hair up and sometimes you don't even
have to tease your hair, this product works that well.

There you have it! Everything I love and truly use on my hair.  By the way, Pureology in no way paid me to say all these nice things
about them.  They don't even know my little head exist!  I just love to pass on things that
I love and know works wonders.  Hope you try some of these things and if you have any
questions about hair or products just leave me a comment or email me.  I'd love to help
in any way!  Hope you all are having an awesome week!!

Makeup Galore!

Buckle your seat belts ladies, this is going to be a long post!  I've gotten several emails lately asking what kind of lipstick I use, if I use foundation, what type of blush color I use and so on.  First of all, let me say how flattered I am, that you even notice the color of my cheeks!  A big thank you for lifting my spirits!!  I have had a little bit of a love affair with make-up since I was a little girl.  I am rarely seen without some form of make-up on.  You don't want to witness that.  I will have complete strangers come up to me and say, "oh dear, are you sick?"  I respond kindly, "no, I'm just not wearing any make-up!!"  Then I turn and yell in my head "GEEESH!!"  I wish I had that type of skin and eyes where I could get away with it, but I am not fortunate in that area.  So, I make due!

Here are my favorite items that I wear and love them to pieces!

I'm a huge fan of Bobbi Brown, not the "It's My Prerogative" guy, but the make-up!
I use the skin foundation with SPF 15 in Porcelain
This stuff goes on so smoothly and protects against the sun.

I love the pressed powder as well in porcelain.  I am out of this right now, so I have been using Pixi Flawless Finishing Powder from Target.  It goes on great and is priced even better.

I am a brush girl all the way!  The brush is essential for good application!  Unfortunately, they need to be washed at least once a week.  But, if you take care of your brushes, they will last a very long time.
I love this blush brush

I don't have this cheek color, it would look hideous on me!  My color is Pink Clay.  It is the right combo of taupe and pink together.

If you have dark circles under your eyes, then concealer is a must.  I love this creamy concealer with powder to seal it, from Bobbi Brown.  My color is, but of course, Porcelain.

I can't say enough about Bobbi Brown's eye shadows!  They are a little pricey, but last FOREVER!!!
The colors I own are
Java ~ A dark brown
Sable ~ a light reddish brown (this is what I use to define my eyebrows
Khaki ~ a taupey green color

This is my eyeliner.  I put it on with the below brush.  I have problems with pencil eyeliner smudging and once this is put on, it does not move!  Seriously!  You make a mistake, you better hurry and spit on your finger quick, cause you've got 5 seconds top, to fix it.  It is greatness!
My colors are:
Espresso Ink ~ Dark brown
Forest shimmer Ink ~ dark green

I've been using this green concealer stick for the last 2 months, and I really love it.  I am really red around my nose and this takes the redness away.  The green blends better than a Porcelain color to hide red.  Who knew, right?  But, it works.

I really love Maybelline's Stiletto Mascara.  I wear it in Blackest Black

I am a lipstick junkie!  I couldn't even tell you how many I own.  I am really loving Maybelline's Bronze Beam right now.

Here's a picture of me wearing Bronze Beam, with this lip gloss.  I love it!  That's my beautiful sister next to me!  If you have visited Megan before, you're thinking, "Wait a minute, I thought she was a red head too!"  Well, she is. At the moment. But, this pic was taken a while back and she was a full on blond.  She can pull off any hair color, or style and look great!

This is my go to lip gloss, that looks great on top of anything, or by itself.
Mary Kay's Beach Bronze

So, there you have it!  I warned you!  This is the entire rituals if I'm going out, going to church, or going shopping.  But, if I'm just running to the grocery store, I only wear mascara, lips, a little powder and blush.  Hope this helps.  I love to know what other people like to wear.  Because, who knows, if I try it and it works, then I am super excited!

I Enjoy Being a Girl!

It's true!  I enjoy being a girl!  I can't help it.  I love make up, hair, and fashion.  I can remember watching my mother as a little girl, put her make up on, and just being in awe of it all!  Starting in about 5th grade I was dying to wear make up and would beg my mother daily to let me wear something, anything, I just wanted to wear it.  My mother stayed strong and said, "No, you can wear it when you turn 12."  For me, turning 12 meant the summer before 7th grade.  At the time, I was devastated!  But, thank you so much mom, for not letting me start too early!  Because  once I started, I was hooked!

Sometimes I get asked what type of products I use.  What do I wash my face with, what moisturizer do I use, and what make up products do I like.  So, I thought I would start a beauty post on my favorite skin care and make up items that I adore!

I love this Dove commercial.  I showed this to my daughter, just to let her know the women in those magazine's are not as perfect as we think they are.  If you haven't seen it, check it out!

DISCLAIMER
I am NOT an expert!
I do not have perfect skin!
These are only suggestions!

Let's dive into the good stuff first!  In my early and mid 20's I was strictly a soap and water girl!  I know, you can gasp now!  It wasn't until I was 28 that my sweet friend, Amy, showed me the way of skincare!  I realized then and there that God gave me this body and I have to start really trying to protect it.  I used several products over the years, but the ones I am showing you, are my all time fav's!

I cleanse my face, every night with Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash.  Now, because I am in my mid, (o.k, actually closer to late) 30's, I love their anti-aging line.  Before I started using this, my face looked dull and lifeless.  It has completely transformed my skin!  It does exactly what is says, it resurfaces the skin.  My skin looks smoother and has a more youthful look to it.  This bottle will last me about 6 to 8 months!  No joke!  It only takes 1 pump to do my entire face and neck!

After I cleanse I use Avalon Organics facial toner.  I just started using this about 6 months ago and love it.  I have never used toner before, but I know it is a crucial step in good skin care.  I also love this because of the price.  Very affordable.  You can find it at Target.

At 32,  I started to see the dreaded crow's feet!!  Now, don't get me wrong.  I'm not one of these girls that detest the lines on her face and will do anything to stop the ageing process!  Not at all.  I embrace my laugh lines.  It reminds me of all the laughter and happy times.  However, there is nothing wrong with slappin a little cream on that sensitive skin around the eyes to help them out!  Don't neglect that area!  Your skin is so thin under your eyes, you need a little help.

Now, here is the miracle in a bottle!  (Insert angels singing here)  I'm not gonna lie to you.  This puppy is pricey!!!  Here is a sneaky trick I do.  Nordstram's always runs specials where they give away free samples.  I have never actually purchased this cream because of this special!!!  When I run out of my facial wash, I always get about 2 sample tubes of this cream.  No joke, it will last me the same amount of time the facial wash does.  It only takes about 4 small dots on my face and neck.  This stuff along with the facial wash, is incredible!!!  That is why it is so pricey!  But, to me, so worth it!  I know, I will have to break down and actually buy it one day.  It just has worked out that I haven't.  The small pot of this cream should last over a year.  That makes it sensible, if you're only buying it once a year!  Right?!

I hope I  haven't bored you with my extremely long post!  If you have any questions, just shoot me an email!  Would love to hear from you.  The face is a tricky thing. I am surely not an expert by any means.  Results are my testimony!  Hope you have a blessed day!
