Come On In!

Welcome to my entry way!  It is a very long hallway into the house.  I have never liked it very much.  It always felt like  a dark dungeon, until I got our new door with the glass panes.  I love to let lots of light in.  Adding the new door took care of that problem.

The piano was my grandmother's.  It is very old and sadly doesn't work anymore.  But, I wouldn't trade it for the world.  I have to many memories of my grandmother every time I look at it!

I think this old trellis adds some funky interest to this bare wall.

My wicker hats on my chandelier add some whimsy.  When I saw them at Tuesday Morning, I couldn't pass them up!

I can't wait to show you what I found at an estate sale this weekend!  Hope everyone has a fabulous Monday!  God bless

Presto Chango...

I hope you enjoy my Living and Dining rooms.

That, my friends, is the most comfortable chair, EVER!!  I fall asleep in it quite often!

I love this little haunted house.  I found it at Tuesday Morning.  You can find the most incredible stuff there!

When I bought this buffet about 4 years ago, it had a pretty bad distressed white paint job on it.  I asked my sweetheart of a friend, Jan, to help me strip it, which by the way is work, but so much fun to see it bubble up and then scrape it away!  Then I restained it.  It turned out fairly well and I am very happy with it!  It goes well with my $150 table and chairs steal I found at a flea market!  Oh yeah, I said that right!  Don't you know I snatched it right up!!!

Can you see it?  Does something look different?  I told you I was crazy, remember?  I moved that table out and put my old wicker chair in it's place.  Then to balance out the wall, or try to balance out the wall, I put an old table for some height.  I think it works much better than what I had.  What do you think?

Here is a better look at that table.  When I bought it the leaf was missing.  But, I didn't mind, because the price was so amazing!  When I got it home and my man was helping unload it, he said "What is this thing underneath?"  He pulled the table apart, and I swear I heard angels singing somewhere, because up pops on a mechanical lever, the leaf to the table!!  Needless to say, I was very pleased with myself that day!!

I'll try to get the entryway up for you tomorrow.  Hope you enjoyed the tour!

Something is Brewing in the Kitchen

Let's start in the kitchen.  I'll post the rest tomorrow!  There is just too much to show in one post!

I love my old metal farmer plate!  He is too cute!

You have to get these Martha Stewart mice from Michaels'!  They give just a touch of creepy to the kitchen.

I love my vintage orange and black needle booklet.

See the mouse scurrying across the woodwork and the bats flying nearby.

Mr. Skeleton is covered in black glitter!

I try to use unexpected items for seasonal decorating.  When I saw these black, orange and white spice tins I snatched them up!

Hope you enjoyed the kitchen.  Can't wait to show you the living room, entry way and dining room!  Make sure you check back with me!  Have a fun filled weekend!!!

Go Check It Out!

Wanted to give a special thanks to Kristin over at My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia.  She is featuring my kitchen today over at her blog!  While you're there, you have to check out her home!  The transformation of her kitchen is unreal!  She has inspired me so much, I hope she does the same for you!

Well the house is finally done for fall, and I can't wait to show you the pictures!  Check back today for a look at our creepy abode!

Enter If You Dare

Here are a few pictures of my front porch.  Hope you enjoy them!

Here is my take on what Pottery Barn created with a branch.  It was super easy!  I embarrassed the fire out of my Mother and daughter while I made her pull the car off the side of the road so I could pick up some branches.  However, as I'm loading the last of the branches in, my mother calls out, "Hey, pick me up a couple too!"  I said, "Oh reaaalllyy!!"

My sweet friend, Laura, gave me that wall hanging for my birthday!  I hung it with duct tape and it stays perfectly!

Thank goodness you can't see too closely. I am not the best stencil gal in the world, and my BOO is a little wavy!  But, that's o.k!  I'm good with that!

I wish you could see this spiderweb better!  She is a showstopper!  I picked it up at Michael's a couple of years ago and it makes such a big impact for not a lot of work.  It is made out of rope and all you do is hang it up and add your creepy spiders!  Love it!

Hope you enjoyed the front porch!  Make it a fabulous day!

Bewitched

Don't ya just love Halloween?  I absolutely adore it!
It shouts FUN to me!  My sister,Megan, and I are hosting
our first costume Halloween party together and we can't wait!
By the way, go check out my sister's blog.  She is an etsy and fashion diva
and has the best ideas on the new fall trends.  So if you want to be in style
this fall check her out!  Now, let's find some bewitching inspiration!

Those are gourds painted white to look like scary skulls! What a great idea!

I really want to do this for the party.  Country Living has an easy tutorial for these ghosts.  Tissue paper bells and cheese cloth!  Who would have thought!

Look at those balloon spiders!  They look so great against the white framed house and apple green door!

I will be posting pictures of my house this week for Halloween!  So get spooky if you already haven't, with your home!  Blesses to all!
