Our trip to Seaside Florida

I can honestly say our summer has been a full blown crazy summer!!!  Between packing and moving we needed a vacation.  The only problem was, our vacation, that had been planned and booked since February, fell 2 weeks before we had to move.  Talk about stressful!!  Packing for a 7 day trip and packing to move into a new home was not fun.  But, once we got on the road, we were all about it!

My parents and my sister and her family came along with us and we had such an amazing and relaxing time!  We rented a absolutely GORGEOUS house about a 8-10 minute bike ride from the beach.  You will completely drool over this house!!  We were so blessed to get to stay in something so nice.  It was like we stepped in to a photo shoot of Pottery Barn.  We found this lovely place on VRBO.com and if you want more details on it just let me know.  So, enjoy some pics of our lovely vacation home!

{All of these photos were taken by my iPhone.  They may be a little blurry, so sorry!}

Our New Home

So here is a picture of the front of our new home!!  This was taken before we moved in, and we've changed a few minor things.  But, nothing major.  We are so happy to be here!!  The open space is amazing, it took some time to get used to it, let me tell ya.  We came from a much smaller neighborhood where you walk out your garage and BAM there's your neighbor.  We are on a little over an acre, so we don't have that BAM feeling any longer!  My next post will be to show the kitchen and the transformation that a little bit of paint can make!  You know I'm a painted cabinet girl.

The previous owners took such loving care of the house.  They were such a blessing to work with!

That window is actually the 3rd garage.  The garage door is in the back of the house and that's where the previous owners kept their lawnmower and yard equipment.  It backs up to the 4th bedroom and we are going to combine both spaces and make a huge game room for the kiddos.  We are getting bids now for the project and can't wait to get started!!

I adore the stone on this house!  It's one of my favorite things about it.

This fountain feature actually works!!!  It is so pretty to watch when its on.

Now for the part that REALLY sold us!!  The back yard is full of trees!!  Coming from a house where the only thing we looked at was a fence, the top of a neighbors roof, and 6 year old oak trees, this is a huge treat!!!!  We can see it from the kitchen, living room, and our master bedroom.

I don't know what it is about trees that just makes me sigh.  My husband weekly tells me "Good find!  I love it here!"  He normally isn't on board at first for my finds, but when I showed him this house, he instantly fell in love.  Mostly because of that back yard.  Hey, whatever it takes, right?

Hope everyone has a fabulous week!!  Pretty soon, hopefully tomorrow, my sweetheart of a sister will be giving birth to her 2nd baby girl!!  We are so excited!!  Keep Megan in your prays please!

Have a blessed week,

Do you miss me?

Well, have a taken a long enough break or what!!?  I can't believe it's been over 6 months since my last post! So much has happened in those months, I needed a little break. I did it!!

I did it!!  Hallelujah!!  I made it through Cosmetology school in one piece.  I'm so excited to get out there and start doing some hair.  Here's a look at my last day of school with my sweet friends that I will miss.

Here I am clocking out for the very last time!!

Sweet girls!  Brooke, Jordan and Tiffany

We all had the same apron.  Another girl had one too.  We always looked so funny on the floor!

Kailey's First Dance

Kailey had her very first dance tonight and she was so excited!!  I think I was more excited than she was, but of course I had to contain myself.  I couldn't "embarrass her!"

Thanks to our sweet friend Lucy, she wore this beautiful dress, that I didn't have to spend a dime on!!  Yippee!!  Thank you Miss Lucy

I know what you're thinking.  WHY is she wearing converse style shoes with that beautiful dress?!!  Why oh why!!?  Because it's super cute and trendy, that's why.

It definitely wasn't my first choice, but a lot of the girls in 7th grade wore Toms or Converse, and we happened across this cute gold pair and couldn't resist them!

Kailey's sweet and beautiful friend, Shelly

It doesn't seem real that she can be 13 and in the 7th grade!!

Some of her friends met at Chick Fil A for dinner and pics.  They felt silly in their pretty little dresses eating at a fast food place.

Olivia, Kailey and Shelly

Before I know it, her Senior prom will be here.  I'm so very proud of my little girl.  She is growing up to be a very intelligent, caring and beautiful young woman.  Now, I am off to bed to cry a little while I think of her as a toddler sucking her thumb with her blankie.

Blessings to all,

J. Carter Handmade

I have found the cutest little Etsy store ever!
J. Carter Handmade is seriously a great Etsy shop!  I found her
when I googled "business card holder".  Her Etsy store came up and then I fell in love!
Don't you love finding a new little shop out of the blue?  I sure do.
Here are just a few of the items that she has to choose from.

I can't seem to decide which fabric I love.  She has a huge collection of clutches
to choose from, that it makes deciding pretty hard!

I ordered this business card holder in several different fabrics for the girls
I will be graduating with very soon!  I love that it has a magnetic button and
can't wait to see it in person!

Tons of pillow covers to choose from, and the fabrics are too pretty!

Here is another clutch I had to show.  I just love the colors and the fun design!
Hurry on over and check her out.  You won't be disappointed!

Chic Shelf Paper

I am loving the look of Chic Shelf Paper!!!  Aren't you tired of looking at boring drawers?
Let's face it, they probably look a little nasty like mine. Right?  You don't have to have the
same old shelf liners from Wal-Mart that everyone else has as well.  This place has so much
to choose from, you might not be able to decide on just one style!
You can line just about anything:

The Kitchen drawers are a must!!

The bathroom drawers will be so much easier to clean now that they look pretty!

Here are a few of my favorite designs and colors:

So, go browse Chic Shelf Paper and see what you think!
