Two Colors?

When I was deciding what color to paint my cabinets, I was really torn between painting them all one color, or painting the top white and the bottom the same green color as my island.  In the end, I wimped out and decided if I wanted to resell this house, a new owner may not like that color combo.  So I played it safe!  But, I absolutely adore different colored cabinets!  Check out Edie, from Life in Grace blog.  She truly inspired me to paint my cabinets, and she was brave and went with 2 different colors!

Here are some kitchens that might inspire you!

I am a red girl and this just sings to me!!

Whatever you decide to do, you are the one that is going to live with it.  So, you have to be happy with it.  Trust me, if you decide to go different colors, you WILL have people telling you not to.  Follow your instincts and do what you think you will love!

  1. Love the painted cabinets - and the two tone uppers and lowers really SINGS to me! One of these days I will have to try this. Maybe start small and just do my island first. It needs so dressing up anyways.

  5. I painted my top cabinets a creamy melon color and the bottom cabinets an apple red and loooooooove it!

In our old house I did a creamy vanilla top and a minty green bottom and loooooooved that too!
I say do what pleases you...you have to live there and don't worry about resale...they will love it or paint over it!

P.S. I used to be hung up on being conservative and worried about resale value but unless you are gonna move anytime soon "forgit about it"!
